Fad Gadget (real name Frank Tovey), with his new wave and industrial recordings, was a pioneer of electronic music. He was the first artist to sign to Mute Records.

In 1982, Alison Moyet provided backing vocals for the chorus on his album, Under The Flag.

Unusually, Alison also plays saxophone on the track, Wheels of Fortune.
