Alison Moyet recorded Michel Legrand’s Windmills of your Mind for her 2004 album, Voice.
The French composer admired her interpretation so much that in February 2009, Michel invited Alison to be his special guest on a short tour in UK and Ireland.
Alison performed a six-song set compromising Between Yesterday and Tomorrow, What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life? I Will Wait for You, Nobody Knows and Windmills of your Mind.
The Guardian branded her performance as “showstopping” and asserted “the depth and clarity of her vocals serve his music well”.
