My analogy with Invisible is kind of like your first wife or husband. You had a really nice time with them, you’re not denying that they’re loveable and loads of good points and will be happy somewhere else- but you just don’t want to f*ck them anymore!

The song was the first single to be released in the States from the Alf album – though it only managed to get to #31 in the Billboard Hot 100.
It was written for Alison by Motown songsmith, Lamont Dozier.
The song featured on the 2004 BBC musical crime drama Blackpool which starred David Morrissey, Sarah Parish and David Tennant.
